Policy Dialogue Meeting at the European Parliament
Brussels, Belgium – 27 March 2018
Professors Maria da Conceição Cunha, Elisabete Ferreira, and José Miguel Taborda Fernandes participated in a policy dialogue meeting at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The session focused on the evaluation of national measures and recommendations regarding the elimination of corporal punishment of children at different levels:

• International level – approaches of international agencies and organisations (presentation by Inês Freitas, APDES);
• National level – national plan of action (presentation by Professor Maria da Conceição Cunha).

DISCUSSION POINTS

Participation in HandsUp Project Meetings – Brussels, Belgium Within the scope of the HandsUp Project, researchers Maria da Conceição Cunha and Elisabete Ferreira took part in the Third Steering Committee Meeting, held in Brussels on 26–27 March 2018.

The discussions focused on the monitoring and updating of the project’s implementation both at national and European levels, as well as strategies for the development of future project-related activities.
