Merit Scholarship

Eligibility for an entry Merit Scholarship requires an admission grade higher than 15/20.

Ten Merit Scholarships are awarded each semester, consisting of:

  1. Full tuition waiver for the students ranked in first and second place
  2. 75% tuition waiver for the student ranked in third place
  3. 50% tuition waiver for the student ranked in fourth place
  4. 20% tuition waiver for the students ranked in fifth and sixth place
  5. 10% tuition waiver for the students ranked from seventh to tenth place

Research Scholarship for Master’s Students – CADOS Scholarship

Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), through CADOS, opens a competition for the award of a research scholarship for master’s students, on an exclusive dedication basis, under the UCP Research Scholarship Regulations.

The scholarship is funded under a protocol between the Amélia de Mello Foundation and Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Professor João Baptista Machado Award

Awarded annually to the student who obtains the highest grade in the defence of the Master’s dissertation in Law.

Garrigues Award

Under the protocol established between the Católica Porto Faculty of Law and Garrigues, an annual prize is awarded for the best Master’s dissertation in Labour Law.

Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão Award

This award distinguishes the Master’s student in Tax Law whose dissertation demonstrates exceptional quality and innovative originality.
