The idea of pursuing a Master’s in Law without a specialisation emerged immediately after completing my undergraduate degree at Universidade Católica do Porto. However, I chose to undertake the Master’s only after joining the Portuguese Bar Association, as both the degree and the traineeship had left some practical gaps that I gradually identified as I entered professional practice.
This decision proved invaluable. The Master’s in Law at Universidade Católica Portuguesa allows students to choose curricular units from different areas, offering considerable flexibility and enabling them to strengthen or acquire essential competences for practising law. The academic staff are always available to support students, adding purpose and value to both teaching and learning.
Choosing to pursue the Master’s in Law without a specialisation — an option available exclusively at this university — was one of the best decisions of my academic path.
