The Porto Faculty of Law has a well-established reputation for delivering high-quality education, and our commitment to student development is unmatched among national universities.
Recognising the increasing importance of a legal education that extends beyond technical knowledge, the Faculty is committed to fostering in its students a set of personal and interpersonal competences, such as:
- The ability to think critically about new and complex issues;
- Creativity in finding effective solutions to those issues;
- Initiative, teamwork, negotiation, and strong communication competences – with clients, peers, and the general public;
- A strong ethical sense.
These are precisely the qualities most valued by the professionals we work with, and for that reason, we want our students to stand out even more.
With the goal of training well-rounded jurists who are better prepared for the professional paths they choose, the ADN Jurista Programme encourages each student, from the very first year, to define their personal and professional goals, and to develop key competences in collaborative and cooperative environments. This approach promotes the growth of citizens who are more conscious, critical, and socially engaged.
The ADN Jurista Programme runs for six of the eight semesters that make up the undergraduate degree in law.
