10th Edition 2025/2026 | In-person Teaching

In line with its mission to promote the professionalisation of football clubs and management structures, Liga Portugal launched, in 2016/2017, the first postgraduate programme in Portugal dedicated to professional football, through an unprecedented partnership with the Porto Faculty of Law, and Católica Porto Business School.

Objectives

This programme, taught by distinguished professors from Universidade Católica and renowned professionals connected with the football industry, covers a wide range of topics, offering a unique and comprehensive qualification in key areas of professional competitions: Organisation of Professional Competitions, Marketing and Communication, Legal Framework, and Management and Accounting of Sports Companies.

The Postgraduate Programme in Organisation and Management in Professional Football enables participants, over the course of one academic year, to acquire a unique understanding of professional competitions, mastering the fundamental legal frameworks and management tools associated with both the competition and the operation of sports companies.

This partnership between Liga Portugal and Universidade Católica Portuguesa offers participants exclusive know-how and insights that no other institution or university can provide.
