Learning outcomes of the curricular unit
The purpose of this seminar is to allow the students to develop:
a) Instrumental skills: knowledge of the specific language pertaining to D&O Insurance policies, decisionmaking ability and problem solving ability.
b) Interpersonal skills: critical judgment, ability to interact with D&O Insurance professionals, ability to work as part of multidisciplinary teams.
c) Systemic skills: ability to conduct research, ability to adapt to new situations and ability to work independently.
More specifically, students are expected to:
a) Assess the importance of this type of insurance in the business management framework;
b) learn the typical coverage and exclusions;
c) understand the specific language used in insurance policies;
d) be able to critically analyse the substance of a D&O Insurance policy;
e) be capable of interacting with professionals specialized in this type of insurance.
