The Porto Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa offers scholarships and awards to students who demonstrate merit and sustained commitment.
Merit Scholarships consist of a waiver of tuition fees for the first year of the Undergraduate degree and are awarded based on the applicant’s admission ranking (application grade) to the Porto Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
In the 2021/2022 academic year, up to 60 Merit Scholarships will be awarded to applicants with the highest admission ranking, as follows:
a) 30 scholarships covering 100% of tuition fees, for enrolled students with a minimum admission grade of 18.0;
b) 30 scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees, for enrolled students with a minimum admission grade of 17.0.
Excellence Awards are granted to students from each year of entry at the Porto Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa who achieved the highest grades in the previous academic year.
The calculation will consider the average grade obtained in curricular units totalling at least 60 ECTS credits, completed either in the regular examination period ("época normal") or the resit period ("época de recurso"), in the academic year preceding the award. If a student completes more than 60 ECTS credits in an academic year, the most favourable grades within those credits will be taken into account.
Please consult the University’s tuition fees table for Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto.
For further information, students may consult the Scholarships and Awards page. For questions, please contact the Student and Employability Office.
