The Faculty is fully aware of the demands of the global market, particularly the growing need for interdisciplinary training. To broaden our students’ horizons, we regularly invite international professors and specialists to teach modules and seminars.

There are also opportunities for international study mobility, typically for one semester, through partnerships with the following universities:

Erasmus Mestrados - EN

International Internships

The Católica Porto Faculty of Law is strongly committed to offering its students the broad and high-quality training that results from international mobility experiences. In this context, it promotes several types of international internships, tailored to each student’s goals and profile, through the Erasmus+ Programme, the Free-Mobility Programme, or the Curricular Internship Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Students undertaking these internships may benefit from an Erasmus+ grant, provided the internship takes place in an eligible country (e.g., Member States of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Turkey). In certain cases, students may also benefit from a reduction in tuition fees during the mobility period.

Recognition of these internships is ensured through registration in the Diploma Supplement, when they do not carry curricular value. All students enrolled in the second cycle at the Porto Faculty of Law may apply for the following types of international internships:

Curricular Internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Mobility enabling students to undertake internships in Portuguese diplomatic representations (embassies, missions, and consulates) under the Curricular Internship Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the possibility of receiving an Erasmus+ grant.

Research Internships
Mobility for the purpose of conducting research for the master’s dissertation, to be undertaken after completing the taught component, at a higher education institution, with a minimum duration of 2 months and a maximum of 5 months, with the possibility of receiving an Erasmus+ grant.

Recent-Graduate Internships

Mobility for recent graduates to undertake internships in diverse professional contexts, with a minimum duration of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months, to be completed after the conclusion of the master’s degree, and potentially funded by an Erasmus+ grant.

Summer Internships

Mobility for students in a professional or university setting, with a minimum duration of 2 months and a maximum of 3 months, with the possibility of receiving an Erasmus+ grant.
