Learning outcomes of the curricular unit
The aim of this syllabus is to provide students a sound understanding of the basis of the functioning of the European Union legal order, providing them with a global understanding and knowledge of the foundational substantive issues of European Union law, as well as the practical usefulness of those issues, in order to prepare them for further studies in EU Law and for their future professional activity. The syllabus focuses on the nature and competences of the European institutions, norms, decision making procedures and general principles of European law. Special attention shall be given to European court decisions. The syllabus also intends to contribute for students to develop their nalytical legal skills: oral and writen communication, stand for a position or a cause, analytical and logical reasoning, knowledge of substantive law, master legal terminology and critical thinking.
