António Pedro Pinto Monteiro is an Associate Professor at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and holds a PhD in Law from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA School of Law). He is also an integrated researcher at JUSGOV and Ratio Legis.
He is a lawyer and arbitrator, serving on several national and international arbitration panels. He has published extensively in his areas of expertise, including books and peer-reviewed articles, and is Director of the Revista Internacional de Arbitragem e Conciliação. He regularly participates as a lecturer, speaker and moderator in conferences, courses and postgraduate programmes on arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, both in Portugal and abroad.
He is a member of Instituto Português de Processo Civil (IPPC), Associação Portuguesa de Arbitragem (APA) and the Comitê Brasileiro de Arbitragem (CBAr). He has been recognised by several international legal directories, including Leaders League, Who’s Who Legal and Legal 500.
