8th Edition 2025/2026 | Online Learning
The Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Programme in Human Rights is the first programme in Portugal to offer an interdisciplinary approach to both the theory and practice of human rights.
This postgraduate initiative is jointly organised by the Porto Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Education and Psychology, and the Cross-Disciplinary Area of Social Economy of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto.
It brings together contributions from the fields of Law, Education, Social Economy and Psychology concerning the protection and promotion of human rights, both in national and international contexts.
Objectives
Through this interdisciplinary framework, the programme aims to address each of the major topics explored, dignity, vulnerability, solidarity and diversity, from both a theoretical and a practical perspective, linking knowing how to be with knowing how to act in the field of human rights.
Students will have the opportunity to engage with field professionals, acquire knowledge and tools essential for the design and management of human rights projects, and receive tutorial support to develop their own initiatives.
Target Audience
This programme is open to graduates holding an undergraduate degree in any scientific field.
