Master’s in Corporate and Business Law

The Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa is far more than a place where Law is studied and reflected upon. It is a community of people whose work is guided by excellence and by the rigour with which they foster the intellectual development of their students — and, I would add, their human development as well.

This approach to teaching is consistent across all study cycles, enabling me to develop the competences required to perform even the most demanding and complex functions in the legal world. Indeed, choosing the Master’s in Corporate and Business Law proved to be the right decision: it allowed me to deepen concepts and topics within this area of specialisation that I had not previously encountered — and which have since become invaluable.

Finally, during the dissertation stage of the Master’s, I had the opportunity — under the attentive and critical guidance of my supervisor — to explore, with intellectual clarity and freedom, an innovative and underdeveloped topic. Once again, I felt the privilege of learning within a teaching model centred on the student’s autonomy and freedom of thought.

I have no doubt that, despite the vast range of options available nationally — which oblige us to reflect carefully on which programme best aligns with our goals — this was unquestionably the right choice.
