Learning outcomes of the curricular unit

In general:

  • Application of the knowledge acquired in Civil Procedure classes by practicing judicial acts and pleadings.

Specific:

  • Initiate proceedings and carry out the subsequent procedural actions:
  • Assemble and critically interpret petitions, legal briefs and judgements;
  • Understand how to select the facts in order to bring a case to trial;
  • Understand the ritual of a trial, the form of witnesses' examination and the preparation of claims;
  • Hold specialized knowledge about evidentiary law.

Part I – Course presentation. Judicial organisation.
Part II – Civil Procedure principles and structure.
Part III – Judicial acts and learning how to count the time-limits for taking steps in proceedings.
Part IV – Incidental claims.
Part VI – Interim measures
Part VI – Declarative procedure
1. Articulated judicial acts.
2. Preliminary judicial decision.
3. Evidence production.
4. Trial (simulation of a trial).
