Parental Labour Protection (Seminar)

3 ECTS / Semester-long / Portuguese

Learning outcomes of the curricular unit

This curricular unit aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge to master the regulatory framework of parenthood protection within the context of employment relations. It seeks to stimulate students' critical thought and to identify the internal tensions existing within this branch of the legal order. This curricular unit will not limit itself to the study of the national regulation; it will also adopt an international and European perspective in order to provide students with an integrated and comparative outlook of the legal norms regulating this subject. Thus, students should be aware of the need to articulate the national legislation with the sources of supranational law, solving possible conflicts of rules.
