On 28 May, Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto held a ceremony dedicated to its mobility students. Organised with the support of IL@C, the event took place in auditorium EC024 and brought together the international students who chose Católica Porto to undertake part of their academic journey. Among them were also the students who joined the academic community of the Porto Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, during the spring semester.

The ceremony was both a moment of institutional recognition and a celebration of the wider meaning of international mobility, the opportunity to learn in a different academic context and to become part, even temporarily, of an academic community that is enriched by every student it welcomes.

For the Porto Faculty of Law, welcoming international students is part of a broader commitment to a cosmopolitan, rigorous and open academic culture, in which the study of Law is enriched by contact with different experiences, languages and ways of understanding the world. The presence of these students reflects an essential dimension of the Schools’s mission, to educate jurists who are able to think beyond their immediate context, with critical awareness and attentiveness to the plurality of legal systems and to the complexity of the social realities that shape them.

The Porto Faculty of Law congratulates all mobility students on the path they have completed throughout the semester and wishes them every success as they return to their home institutions, confident that their experience at Católica Porto will continue to accompany them in their academic, personal and professional journeys.
