Exploitation of prostitution: a human rights issue (Seminar)

Learning outcomes of the curricular unit

Framing exploitation of prostitution as an issue in which human rights are involved. Awareness of the diversity of legal and case law instruments in which the exploitation of prostitution is framed as a violation of human rights / fundamental rights. In-depth analysis of the crime of exploitation of prostitution in the Portuguese penal code. Particular reference to the issue of gender / gender violence. Creation of a consolidated legal-theoretical basis that allows students to take future interventions and decision-making processes at the scientific / theoretical level, or in a professional / practical environment, properly informed.
